Monroe County Law Enforcement:
Members of all Monroe County Law Enforcement can sign up anytime during the year. The $50.00 joining fee is waived. The membership dues are as follows: Adult $20.00 and family $30.00 and Single Parent Family: $25.00. We need a copy of their Police verification. This includes police officers, sheriffs, and employees of the Monroe County Jail. 24 Hour Access is free for all law enforcement.
Monroe County Volunteer Area firefighters
Members (with copied proof of being a firefighter) can sign up any time of the year, and the joining fee is waived. The membership dues are as follows: Adult: $20.00 and Family: $30.00.
Monroeville/Monroe County Chamber of Commerce Members
Members can sign up any time of the year, and the joining fee is waived.
First National Bank & Trust:
Employees can join any time of the year and pay no joining fee. There is no sign-in sheet or criteria they have to meet. The employee will be payroll deducted 50% of the dues, and the bank will pay the other half of their membership dues.
Employees with the Gearhart Dentistry can have an adult membership for free. Their employer will pay the $28.00 dues each month.
State of Alabama:
Employees can sign up at any time of the year. They pay no joining fee. The Adult membership is $28.00, the Family membership is $35.00, the Single Parent Family is $30.00, the Senior Adult is $18.00, and the Senior Adult Couple is $26.00. The State will payroll deduct the dues each month. However, the employee must pay their prorated dues the month they join and the full first month’s dues in advance. A copy of the employee’s driver’s license and health insurance card issued by the state must be copied for billing.
This discount is only for relocated spouses of an active military that have been deployed, recruiters, ROTC instructors, active guard reserve that stay behind while their Armory unit is deployed overseas, or they are part of the base re-alignment closure. No joining fee is required. We need a copy of the military spouses or military employee’s armed forces card and their orders from the military for billing. The member must come to the YMCA and have at least 8 visits per month for their membership to be automatically renewed every six months.
GP - Rocky Creek:
An employee or spouse who visits the Y at least 30 times during a (3) three-month period, with at least 5 visits per month, will receive 100% of their membership paid for the following three-month period. Employees can join any time of the year and the joining fee is waived. (24-hour access will not be paid for by Rocky Creek)
Each calendar year will be broken into four (3) three month periods
- January 1 through March 31
- April 1 through June 30
- July 1 through September 30
- October 1 through December 31
As a Sterling Packaging employee, you MUST visit the Monroeville Area YMCA, or its affiliates, a minimum of 10 times per month for the first 3 months of your membership, in which you are responsible for the full membership cost before Sterling Packaging will begin paying 50% of your membership fee. After the first 3 months have elapsed, you will still be required to visit the Monroeville Area YMCA, or its affiliates, a minimum of 10 times per month for the duration of your membership, in order to receive the discount. (Sterling will not pay for 24-hour access.)
Through the Walton Life Fitness Pass, Walmart employees can join through payroll deduction with no joining fee any time of the year. Visit walmart1/thewire to register.
Employees can only sign up in January of each year. There is no joining fee and Gericare pays 100% of membership dues on any type of account set-up. Only Gericare will pay for employee's 24-hour access.
Georgia Pacific (Perdue Hill):
Joining fee is waived for GP employees if they join during the month of May. Since there are particular criteria employees must meet for the company to begin to pay their membership (100% or 50%) beginning in January or July of each year.
An employee or spouse who has worked out at the mill center and/or offsite facility at least (72) times during the six months with no less than 7 visits per month, will receive a membership discount of 100% for the next six month period.
An employee or spouse who has worked out at the mill center and/or offsite facility at least 42 times during the six months with no less than 5 visits per month, will receive a membership discount of 50% for the next six month period.
An employee or spouse who has worked out at the mill center and/or offsite facility less than 42 times during the six months will be required to pay all of the agreed-upon monthly rate for the next six month period.
(Each calendar year will be broken down into 2 six month periods (January 1-June 30 and July 1-December 31), with the months of January and July being used to evaluate the attendance records for the previous period. In February and August, the new payment plans and bank drafts (if needed) will take effect.
Englewood Nursing Home:
The sign-up time for Englewood Nursing Home is during June each year. The joining fee is waived, and employees pay their membership dues.
The sign-up time for Execu-Flight is during June each year. The joining fee is waived, and employees have all of their membership dues paid by Execu-Flight.
Monroe County Hospital:
During December, hospital employees can sign up and pay no joining fee. After three months of coming to the YMCA 7 or more times each month, the hospital will begin to pay ½ of their memberships. ONLY THEN DO WE CODE THE ACCOUNT MONROE COUNTY HOSPITAL.
